How to save a Windows license?
I have a laptop that was bought with Windows pre-installed (new). Then there was 8, but then I upgraded it to 10. I practically don’t use a laptop, because. there is a more powerful stationary computer (and it's just more convenient). I wanted to test another OS on the laptop, but I feel sorry for the license. Tell me how can I save the Windows license so that if I want to re-install it, I can restore it without any problems?

You most likely have an OEM license (cheap).
It is tied to iron - and therefore cheap.
Would Retail (expensive) could be.
You can try.
Maybe you'll be lucky.
Well, or call Microsoft, the technical service. support - with a slight change in hardware, they allow you to transfer the OEM license.
You must have a Recovery partition on the laptop's hard drive, from which you can always return to the state of the laptop upon purchase, thereby leaving the licensed axis. The main thing is just not to kill this partition on the disk when installing another OS.
Look when the computer boots up, it should be displayed like press such and such a button to restore.
