How to save a full-sized image to disk in Google+ if there is no corresponding button?

If you click on the image attached to the post in Google+, the image view mode opens in the entire window. There, if the picture does not fit into the window in size (which is usually for the same infographic, for example), a small copy is first displayed (like a regular picture that can be saved by right-clicking with the mouse) and you can scale and move it. As soon as you start scaling, this is no longer a picture, but just a div, in which in some other way (through JavaScript and CSS, of course) a part of the original image is displayed and the usual trick no longer works. Usually the solution to the problem is the "Download photo" item from the "More ..." menu offered right there, but this option is far from always available.
Obviously, as soon as the image is displayed in the browser (and even more so it scrolls so smoothly and quickly), it is loaded onto the computer with some kind of AJAX and hangs somewhere in the browser's memory.
It’s clear that you can dig into the cache or try to debug these scripts manually, but still I wonder if there is already a ready-made solution such as a browser extension, user script, a separate site that pulls out an image by URL (similar to a YouTube video) or something the like.
