How to run wlan Atheros AR9485 on Linuxmint?
Good afternoon, I installed Linux Mint 17 Mate on my laptop and WiFi stopped working. Strangely, during installation it was available, but it was unstable and at a negligible speed. Now it does not start, does not search for networks and is generally unavailable. Asus has WiFi on / off by Fn + F2, but no reaction occurs.
Any suggestions on how to start? Atheros AR9485 card.

In general, the casket just opened. In order for WiFi to start, it had to be restarted from the console, more details here .
To make Fn + F2 work, just add to grub: acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'
and since. Windows 8 ready laptop - that helps him. Read more here .
There was a problem with the brightness, but it will be solved soon.
Thank you for your attention;)
