You can't just take and replace a 32-bit system with a 64-bit one. Although, this is linux, maybe you can. In theory. With bugs, bugs and more. Roll on top. If there is a very need to save the current system. But I think the ubuntu installer will not approve of this and will format the partition before installing the system. Нужно загрузиться с диска или с флешки
Для записи загрузочной флешки используйте утилиту unetbootin
Далее в биосе выбрать загрузку с флешки и устанавливать на ваш раздел с установленным убунту
вообще, папка home должна сохранится, хотя не уверен
Главное не меняйте файловую систему в разметке диска
