TrueCrypt analogues for Linux and Mac OS?
Actually, after Truecrypt was closed, did anything worthy of a replacement appear?
I personally really like cryptocontainers, but somehow I don’t want to use the old, unsupported and not updated version of the software.
What do you advise?

If you need a cross-platform solution, then TrueCrypt anyway. The fact that he can and has not yet been compromised speaks in his favor. The main thing is to use version 7.1a. Everything is here: https://truecrypt.ch/downloads/

LUKS/dm-crypt on Linux is a great thing, supported at the kernel level, and you can create file containers with it. But on a Mac, you'll have to think of something else.
