How to run exe via webdav?

It costs OwnCloud, webdav is configured. But exe is not launched with all sorts of errors. Maybe a stupid question, but is it really possible to run an exe and use a network drive like a normal one? Mounting images to virtual drives by running exe?
And if not, what are the alternatives?

I ran into the same problem.. raised webdav to mount a disk on other computers, it was planned to install software from it.. but the executable files do not start at all.
Where to configure the rights is also not clear .. on the client or server side?
