How to run android emulator on linux?
That is, launch and interact with it through the API. Send commands, receive responses. Launch progs, interact with them through the emulator API.
Bluestack is for windows only.
Android Studio - not suitable, I just need an emulator. Also, does this emulator have an api? If not, then it doesn't fit.

The only emulator I know of is the one that Google distributes. This is exactly an emulator, it honestly emulates percents and other devices, so tooooooormoz ... Playing even on i7 as a host is sooooo problematic
. BlueStack is not an emulator at all. This is something like "wine for android", which allows you to play games. If you go to its "settings" - then 90% of the settings are not there :)
