How to rip audio CDs?
There is quite an extensive collection of discs. Some discs have scratches. Some discs are in perfect condition.
What drive to use? (I heard that a regular CD-ROM will do better than newfangled combines)
What software to use? (Even all sorts of smart softwares eventually give jams / repetitions / slips in some places)
Ideally, as a result, have an audio library in the ALAC format with broken tags, but it doesn’t matter.

Under Windows the best ripper is Exact Audio Copy .
Scratches can be removed by wiping the disc with a banana or toothpaste .
I remember there was such an Audiograbber.
I use cdparanoia
On personal experience, I noticed that an old USB NU-TECH DVD? who is already 8 years old? reads those discs with which children played, and does it without much effort.
It seems to me that you should use an old CD-ROM, and more than one if possible.
Make a full CD image (ISO).
Further, most likely the network has software for combining / pulling out information. For example, we have 3 bytes in the same place on 3 different images, one byte does not match the other 2 - thus. there is a fairly high probability that at this place there should be a byte that is present in 2 images at the same time.
