How to "revive" an android tablet?

Welcome all! I found a tablet lying around called Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, which began to slow down wildly for reasons I do not understand, why it was abandoned.
So, I would like to somehow revive the device, since before it only pleased, and what happened to it is not clear.
From my actions:
I just tried to clean it - it did not help.
Tried resetting to factory - didn't help.
I tried to change the firmware to "clothed" - also there is no result.
What else can be done with it (how to revive it) I can’t imagine. Maybe the kind users of "Toaster" will help me solve the problem?)

Also tab 3, I use it exclusively for reading pdf / djvy , sometimes for youtube.
It is already old, on 4.2 android (at least for me).
Some applications are no longer installed, and often fall (both google play and ui and almost anything).
Most likely it is already old and will not keep up with modern ones. The easiest way is to use it for some programs that are not expensive in terms of memory and processor, so it does not get stupid and you are satisfied

stick on the wall in the kitchen, as a media player for tea parties and for googling all sorts of kitchen recipes

Any firmware for it based on MIUI or Flame without the services of the corporation of goodness (i.e. Google). He will work until he dies of his own death.

I think that except for the service, nothing can be done.
