How to restore Windows 7 from a carved system image to a new HDD?
The HDD has flown, but there is a recently created backup image of the system, which was made using regular Windows 7 tools. During an attempt to restore, it displays messages:
“To restore the state of the computer, windows needs to format the drive from which the Windows recovery environment was loaded. To continue the recovery, turn off the computer, boot from the Windows installation disc or the system recovery disc, and then try the recovery again.
I understand things in the layout of the new HDD. How to recover?
