How to restore win 7 from under win 10?

They brought me a train with win 7. It does not start, i.e. at startup, the logo starts to appear, then it freezes, the blue screen flickers, reboots.
Strongly do not want to demolish everything, but transferring files is too lazy and long. I downloaded win 7, made an image, wanted to restore it through it, but it didn’t work, writes that it can’t automatically restore.
So the question is, what else can be done? Maybe you can somehow restore from normal Windows (win 10) with some software?

1. Is the disk itself alive? It's not about "bads"? Sometimes it helps to transfer the image of such a disk (by Acronis) to a fully working new disk.
