How to restore the operating system selection window if the choice of these operating systems is not displayed?

There are two operating systems on the computer: Windows and xUbuntu 14.04
When using it, I mainly used ubuntu, but then Windows stopped displaying in GRUB. I decided to restore GRUB in the first way after executing the last command, I rebooted and saw that the hornbeam now finally does not give out any OS to choose from. instead, something like a console is displayed. How to fix this without using all sorts of Live CDs and without reinstalling anything. on Windows there were important data?

Which of the commands is the "last" one? Do update-grub and reboot. What will come of it? And what does the command output itself?

After these instructions, my hornbeam shows a black screen, it seems that it simply is not displayed, and the brush counts and starts Kubuntu. I used instructions from https://losst.ru/oshibka-grub-ne-vidit-windows-10
I have Windows on another disk /dev/sdc4. Removed from /etc/grub.d/40_custom after GRUB stopped displaying and updated via sudo update-grub. But there are no results yet.
