How to restore data?
Windows 7 system recovery was launched on the netbook, saving data, but the battery ran out during the recovery, and the PC was in a discharged state for a long time. Then it was charged, but when the boot menu was selected, they did not continue the recovery process, but booted up in normal mode. Result: half-empty folders (old data) where the system restore manager put the backup is unknown.
Actually, what can be done to return everything to its place?
Thank you.

I would search for old data by searching in Total Commander with the setting to show hidden and system files, I would search by the known name of one of the old files. Then I would open the directory and look "around".
If the data were deleted, then GetDataBack.
Well, as I understand it, the screw supports several levels of recovery after formatting, but I have no idea what to do in this case. when the system was restored, apparently the disk was repartitioned, and the data was in an intermediate state, maybe even in the RAM, and this operation was actually interrupted.
I don’t know where Windows saves user data in this case, but no matter how it is, I recommend making an image of the current state of the disk on another medium with any program you are used to (Acronis, Norton Ghost, and I would use dd) and only after that try recover data in ways that will be offered or found by yourself. If this is a netbook, then, as a rule, the screws on them are not too large: 250, 320, sometimes 500 GB. It's tolerable. I recently made an image of 1 TB, everything worked out, I saved the data.
