How to restore a Windows 10 license?

Hello.
Using a similar instruction answers.microsoft.com/ru-ru/windows/wiki/windows_8... saved the key from the licensed OEM Windows 8.1
Updated to Windows 10
Again, just in case, saved the key, already from Windows 10.
After reading the Microsoft instructions, I realized that I can safely roll a clean image of Windows onto a disk and format hard drives by installing from scratch.
Without thinking twice, I demolished the factory OS images, partitioning the disk at my discretion, and installed Windows 10.
The driver for the video card did not want to get up. I decided to go to the laptop manufacturer's website (very in vain) and install all the drivers from there. The driver section for Windows 10 appeared right there. One of the utilities (Flashtool) was supposed to update the BIOS to the latest version and it coped with this task, but after that my license flew off, reinstalling the OS and entering the issued key did not help (Error code: 0xC004C003). I ask for advice on what to do to return the license.
PS Activation by phone does not work. The robot says: "Groups of digits not recognized" or something like that, after entering all the groups.

In your case, you need to reinstall Windows 8.1 and activate it. If this does not happen automatically, then you will need to contact the technical support of the laptop manufacturer. After activating Windows 8.1, it will be possible to upgrade to Windows 10. The keys of both OSes must be registered in UEFI, and with subsequent reinstallations and an Internet connection, Windows will be activated automatically.
A Microsoft account has nothing to do with activation keys and their storage, because even with local accounts, upgrading to Windows 10 with subsequent reinstallation and reactivation goes without problems.

The win8.1 OEM key is not suitable for activating win10 from scratch, just like the win8 OEM image key is not suitable for activating original win8.1 images.
In general, OEMs in laptops are regulated according to their own rules and all sorts of activations over the phone will not work. Here you need to either demand / ask for a disk from the laptop manufacturer, or from small soft ones, indicating the laptop model, and so on. If I'm not mistaken, the key is flashed in the BIOS and when installing the OS from the factory image, it should be picked up on the go (I could be wrong).
If you want Win10, then ... just an update. After the update already, you start the OS recovery and reset the OS to its original form.

If I'm not mistaken, then Windows is activated only by an account. And forget about all sorts of bios, keys, you can throw them away (both) it's something like (apple aid has become) with a clean installation, we skip all activation requests with a key. And when asked to enter the username and password for the Microsoft account, enter that's all.
