How to restore a VirtualBox virtual machine if the config file is broken?
Ubuntu 12.04 host system. The disk space ran out, as a result, the config file was broken (it could not be saved completely).
As a result: the snapshot files and the virtual machine disk are intact. But due to a broken config, it is not possible to load it. How to restore a virtual machine?
I googled something on this topic ( 1 , 2 )
I haven't tried the script from the 2nd article yet. Are there other ways that will reduce shamanism to a minimum? Without the need to delve into the config file and edit something yourself (the config file is half preserved)?
VirtualBox v4.1.20

And why not just create a new one and re-bind this disk? What's valuable in the config?
Did the Logs folder survive? If yes, then there is a chance to restore manually.
