How to respond to a letter that a mobile developer received from a certain FMFG company?
Received a letter claiming patent infringement related to the notification system used in the mobile app. They want to pay royalties.
On Reddit they write that they are scammers. The most they can hurt you is to put a lot of reviews on the application with one, said Reddit users.
Which of the Russian developers came across such letters, how did they react to them, were there any consequences?

The notificationcommunicationpatent.com domain was registered in June of this year, the notificationcommunicationpatent.com website is illiterately designed including copyrights, this cannot be the website of a law firm.
The content of the patent has nothing to do with the description on the site. At the same time, the patent most likely has nothing to do with you and your application and it has a completely different representative:

Do not mind it. Usually in such cases, disgruntled people turn to the play market and the application is cut out of the market by Google itself and the developer's account is blocked. At least that's how all games based on Disney cartoons disappear :)
I recommend to get started with the concept, which even got into the encyclopedia: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9D%D0%B8%D0%B3%D...
Most likely phishers or scammers... Usually they write about copyright and patent infringement from Google Play... And these decided to send letters to millions, someone will bite.
in the USA (harder in Europe) to sue - about like going for bread ($60 or so)
but the applicant's legal costs (the paper preparation fee, in addition to the county fee) still cost money, so if the patent owner estimates, that something can be withdrawn from you, even if it’s a pre-trial settlement (and this happens with royalties, because bummers with real startup incomes are not uncommon), you will receive a call from your (or the plaintiff’s) lawyer with the fact that a lawsuit
has been filed they won’t
write to another country (when you want to take it off, but you can’t get it, then at least a tuft of wool) or Nigerians
