How to resolve error 500 after activating W3 Total Cache?

After installing and activating the W3 Total Cache plugin, WordPress multisite crashed into error 500:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Who faced a similar error? In the instructions for setting up the plugin, I have not seen a similar situation.

See the server error log (error.log), it will say what the problem is. Also, enable debug mode in wp-config.php, reload the page again and look at the debug.log in the wp-content folder.

I faced. The plugin has many settings - try disabling one setting at a time.
Also, do you really need it? All functions can be configured without using this plugin.
It's hard to say anything without the error-log.
Look at the topics on the WordPress site dedicated to your situation:
