How to resolve composer dependency conflict?

Hello!
There is a project on Laravel 5.7. I wanted to attach omnipay of the second version to it, because. there is simply no whole bunch of integrations for the third one. However, when installing omnipay 2 I get an error:

The essence of the conflict seems to be extremely clear to me, omnipay2 refers to symfony/http-foundation ^2, while laravel has already installed the 4th version of the package.
But I do not understand how to resolve such a conflict?

@RMate

If there are not enough adapters for version 3, then you need:
I had to somehow struggle with the second method a couple of times ... it was crap, but I had to.
It may turn out that it will be easier to fork the adapter
