How to replace RAM on ASUS X555UF?

Tell me how to replace the memory in the ASUS X555UF laptop. I am not interested in the process of adding a bar, but in the subtleties with the choice of these bars. It is written on the market that the maximum volume is 12GB, and the number of slots is 1, now it costs 6GB, but as far as I know, there can be no 6GB strips. On the Intel website about my stone it is written that the maximum amount of memory is 32GB. CPU-Z shows the total amount of 6 GB in Dual mode, in the first slot 2 GB, it does not display anything about the second one (but it is in the list). For the time being I want to replace one of the bars (if there are still two of them), preferably the one with 2GB for a bar with 8GB, but will it work? Tell me how to do everything right?
