How to rename attachment in Exim?
Task:
If the letter contains an attachment with the exe extension (for example), rename it to an attachment with the same name but with the ex_ extension (for example).
For Postfix and sendmail there is this www.pc-tools.net/unix/renattach/, but for Exim there was none.
Unfortunately, you cannot change Exim to something else.

The philosophy of Exim does not suggest that the mailer should interfere with the content of messages. I think the only option is to use a different from the usual local_delivery transport with the transport_filter parameter for processing by any script / software, where the attachment will be renamed and Exim will receive a safe message for delivery. You can use just the utility at your link.
