How to remove unremovable from the desktop?

Recently, an icon of the internal hard disk appeared on the desktop . The

question is extremely simple - how to remove it, if in fact it is not there?

Deleted ~/Desktop, tried to create symlinks, demolished Finder's .plist - nothing helps. The icon is infuriating, please help.

Open the `Finder` settings (Finder -> Preferences) and remove unnecessary items.
