How to remove unlinked files from Joomla 1.5 site?

Greetings!
There is a site on Joomla 1.5. Has been working for over 5 years. Any information is placed on it with a certain frequency, mainly in the form of various documents (pdf, doc), archives, pictures. The whole thing, respectively, lies in the hosting file system in the subfolders of Joomla.
The problem is that during the time of using the site, not a single user has changed and everyone uploaded files there as they wanted (or could), as a result, we are already close to the hosting limit on disk space (3 GB).
Question: how could the site be cleaned of files without links? Those. all files that are not referenced by more than one page on the site should simply be deleted.
It will take more than one day to manually shovel all this, because. and the links and the files themselves there are a great many and they are scattered anyhow.

1. Check the site with any spider: Netpeak Spider, Screaming Frog SEOSpider, Xenu. All site urls are collected there, but filtering out non-html urls (doc, pdf, etc.) will not be a problem.
And here you have a list of all the files used on the site.
2. Check the folder(s) on the hosting where you have the files. In 10 minutes, you can google or code such a script in php.
You will receive a list of all files hosted.
3. Subtract the first from the second list and get a list of all unused files.

Perhaps the PageWeight program will help you, but I could be wrong. It calculates the "weight" of the pages of the entire site, taking into account links from the same site. It can be concluded that pages with a minimum weight are the very "zero".
