How to remove UI elements?

Need help, there is a javafx application that has interface elements defined in fxml files. For example AreaChart and when I write areaChart = new AreaChart(); (I set the axes, upload the data) nothing changes. And this situation is not only with the chart (There are many elements in the application that need to be recreated or created in their place) Why does this happen and how to recreate the elements?
