How to remove the numbers in brackets before the name of the chrome tab on the youtube site, and why are they?

The numbers in parentheses before the title are the number of unread YouTube notifications. To remove them, just click on the bell. See photo below

it VERY infuriates me too :) and I don’t understand why they are.
you can try to export the bookmarks to an html file
and delete them \(.*\) using "regular expressions"
and then import the bookmarks back
