How to remove duplicate year?

added a date field for the material type, changed it to its own date type, when outputting through views, one more year is added. For example 5 Jan 2016 2016. How can I fix it?

a) check the date format (/admin/config/regional/date-time/formats)
b) check views (if there is an extra field, custom date output or override was not used)
