How to remove duplicate catalog pages?

The problem is this. In the left menu, links are of the form
sitename.ru/catalog/category 1
sitename.ru/catalog/category 2

If you click on the link sitename.ru/catalog/,
links to subsections are displayed in the form of tiles.
So the links from them to the same sections already look like:
sitename.ru/category 1
sitename.ru/category 2

Seoshniks swear. demand to fix it. How to fix it?
