How to remove CSS prefix auto-generation in Visual Studio Code?

Just climbed over to VS Code from the sublime. Please tell me how to remove auto-generation of prefixes for css-properties. As I understand it, emmet is responsible for the subject inside the editor. Setting in settings.json

"emmet.preferences": {
  "css.autoInsertVendorPrefixes":false
}

does not give the desired result.
