On firmware 15 2015 with i7 and 16 GB of RAM, built-in video card. Mac os mojave.
Photoshop cc 2019, but I also installed earlier versions, the problem is the same.
The essence of the problem.
When creating a document from scratch or any opening when changing a layer, hiding it does not show the changes immediately. 20 seconds pass. Even a simple text input is not shown immediately. Even over time, it does not appear if you do not click on the workspace or until you play with the scale.
Please let me know if anyone faced this problem and how to solve it?

What about a discrete graphics card?
In general, when you start Photoshop, the poppy should automatically switch to discrete immediately.
Alternatively, try resetting all Photoshop settings...
