How to remember a book about computers from childhood?

I thought for a long time on which resource to ask this question, but nevertheless I came to the conclusion that the probability of finding people who know the answer to it is much higher on an IT resource than on a "literary" one.
The bottom line is that as a child (in the early 1990s) I had two books "about computers".
The first is the Encyclopedia of Professor Fortran (I think many people know it)
And I don’t remember much about the second - only one plot was remembered: in the chapter on learning computers ("machine learning") there was an illustrated story about a Robot who got into the country of Dragons. He needed to collect as much gold or money as possible, and he knew that in this country there are dragons who are happy to share money with him and dragons who take money from him.
And so he walked through this country and asked each dragon for money and remembered which dragons were given and which ones were taken away. Those. deduced a formula in the spirit of "fat dragons of color XXX give money, thin dragons of color YYY take away", etc.
At point-blank range, I can’t remember what kind of book and what the rest of the chapters were about.
Maybe the collective mind knows? I assume that the publication was in the region of 1990-1998
