How to register a font to verify its copyright?

Given:
A font was developed for commercial use by a Russian company.
All rights to the font are transferred to this company.

The company wants to register this font - ie. make it so that anyone who wants to use it knows that this font belongs to this company and its use by anyone other than the company itself is illegal.

What do I need to do to register this font? Are there any online resources for this or do I need to apply to Rspatent to register a font as an industrial design?
