How to reduce CPU usage in Linux Mint with Nvidia driver?

The system has Nvidia Driver Metapackage version 455.23.04 installed. It shamelessly
loads the processor to almost 90% on an idle system. Loaded by process -- cinnamon

The driver was installed through the Driver Manager.

There are a lot of options here. I had to turn off bluetooth on the same laptop and the load on the CPU subsided. This is still an unfixed systemmd bug.
You can also try these two commands with a boot, it helped a lot on the stack. Since for most it was systemd-udevd that loaded the CPU at startup.

sudo systemctl stop systemd-udevd systemd-udevd-kernel.socket systemd-udevd-control.socket
sudo systemctl start systemd-udevd systemd-udevd-kernel.socket systemd-udevd-control.socket
