How to recover deleted files from Ubuntu 16.04 or Windows 10?

How can I recover deleted files that were deleted about two months ago?
I have windows 10, for some programs I can play, and the working system is Ubuntu 16.04 (I'm doing web development). In general, I unsuccessfully updated ubuntu to 18, as it turned out that it was very buggy, returned it back and it turned out that I deleted windows from the list of downloads and could not return it, I had to reinstall everything. On windows I played Skyrim, the saves were deleted. I tried several programs on Windows that Google gave out, nothing was found. Perhaps there is some software for recovering files on ubuntu? SSD
Look for your WinHEX files . This program reads disk clusters and helps recover files.

Download R.saver (free) and run a full scan. Do not save the archive to the disk from which the data was lost.
Ideally, the analysis should be done on a separate machine, after disabling TRIM. If R.saver does not find anything similar to the missing files, then you can start to despair.
In general, in my opinion (and if I understood your description correctly), the probability of data recovery is unfortunately low:

  • A lot of time has passed and the necessary files could well have simply been overwritten
  • As I understand it, you downloaded the distribution kit (s) of the OS, then reinstalled - all this is a record of new data
  • Given that you have an SSD, the data could be permanently erased by TRIM
