How to put your node.js site online?

I have created a node.js application and I want to host it under the example_domain.example domain.
What do I need to do for this?
I understand that I need to buy a domain and I see resources where this can be done.
But I don't understand what I need to do next. What tools do you personally use?
This is what I want to know.
