How to put parenthesis in vi editor?

There is a server on
ubuntu
18.4 .

I need to edit the file, or rather move the bracket
. I deleted the old ")", but I can’t put a new one, when I press
Ctrl + 0 it throws for some reason on a new line, and does not add a bracket, it turns out I deleted the old one and I can't add a new one.
