How to put many nodes on ElasticSearch on one VPS?

I bought a VPS server and installed Ubuntu 14.04
Next, I downloaded the Debian ElasticSearch package and installed it on the system
Through I service elasticsearch startrun ES
So I run one node. How can I run many nodes? How many nodes is desirable to run with a database of 1 million documents in order to work quickly?

I have a database with 40+ million docks and 16GB of RAM, everything works fine.
