If you add a number to your contacts through the viber itself, then the viber will pull up the name.
If you add a number through the "Contacts" application on your phone and do not specify a name, the viber will add this number to your contacts, but instead of the name, it will indicate this number again.
As I understand it, this is a feature of the viber: do not pull up the name for synchronized contacts.
