How to publish a set of components written in Vue.js to an npm repository?

I have accumulated a set of components: buttons, input fields, lists and other "bricks" that I use in the application. I want to publish them to npm so that I can use them in my other applications, and maybe give others the opportunity to do so.
How exactly to prepare the components for publication so that they can be included in the same way as third-party modules from npm?
