How to proxy RTSP stream?

It is required to proxy video streams from several cameras.
It is to proxy, and not to squeeze the stream to the desired size and waste CPU resources.
Found a couple of ancient Perl modules. But I want a more universal solution.
Platform *nix.

Well, as an option, run a separate vlc for each thread. If you do not specify the encoding of the stream in the option, then it will not do this.
