How to protect your Amazon account from scammers?

Hello.
I signed up for Amazon Web Services today (through my old forgotten Amazon account).
Half an hour later I got a call from a man speaking English, but with an Indian accent. The call was from the number: +918066055000 (location India).
I found a site on the Internet where people discuss this phone number and come to the conclusion that it is a scammer calling:
whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/918066055000 A
Hindu on the phone asked to confirm the number in Germany. Maybe I misunderstood/misunderstood him.
I told him that I had never been to Germany.
I also told him, at his request, my city and country.
I didn't seem to tell him anything important.
What steps do I need to take to secure my Amazon account?
PS Or maybe the people on the given link are wrong, and this is a real Amazon employee calling?

I don’t know how it is now, but 2-3 years ago, the scripts for generating keys for Windows from the OpenVPN distribution kit did not work without finishing, so I usually made keys for Linux - they have been run in for a long time and are operational.
