How to protect the books of online stores?

Hello gentlemen! There is an online bookstore though selling e-books. Now the question is: How to protect books from copying, etc. I read about Adobe Digital Editions, but how to cooperate with them? Do I need to buy a special program to encrypt our books? Thanks in advance for your replies!

DRM is almost always a bad idea.
Buy users with an excellent interface, many formats, a large selection of books and a good price.
Introduce additional services like reviews and discussions. If people love the resource, then it will be easier for them to buy from you than to look for torrents. Take a cue from Bookmate, the subscription format is much more attractive than buying each book individually.

If you have to buy a book in an online store, in some kind of muddy format that the hell knows how to open and whether it will open at all, then no one will buy books, they will buy in another store in pdf / epub / mobi.

And here is one option for you))
Write the number of the copy of the book in translucent font diagonally on each page. You can write in such a way that it does not interfere with reading. If the book gets leaked, you might know who did it.
