Developed a program for convenient work with other people's equipment without the knowledge of the manufacturer. Can the manufacturer of this equipment present claims and rights to the program? This is a personal project.

To begin with, it would be nice to explain, firstly, what does "with someone else's equipment" mean, and secondly, what does "without the knowledge of the manufacturer" mean. And then look at what needs to be protected and from whom.
