How to properly transfer a virtualbox virtual machine from one PC to another?

Good afternoon!
There is a need to move a virtual machine from one PC to another.
My solution is as follows:

  1. On PC1, I clone a virtual machine to an external HDD.
  2. I connect an external HDD to PC2.
  3. On PC2 I launch virtualbox, then Machine -> Add -> I select a virtual machine on the connected HDD.
  4. Next, I make a clone of this machine from an external HDD already on the HDD of PC2.

Is this the correct way? OS: Linux.

This is stupidly one file, it is designed to be transferred and distributed in this form and work anywhere.
flash drive, file hosting, even by mail.
Why do you suddenly think that something could go wrong?

  • Perform export of virtual machine configuration
    On another computer:
    • Copy all files to hard drive
    • Import Configuration
    • Mount virtual disks
