How to properly set up prettier?

Good day everyone. I write in vs code, installed the prettier extension - everything is ok, but I wanted to change its settings. I created a .prettierrc.json file, wrote down the configs, saved it and put it in the root of the demo project, but the settings do not change. What am I doing wrong?
