How to properly repost or translate on your own website?

Let's say we have our own new building section / blog on our site and there is a desire to publish something in it that has already been published by someone somewhere else. As far as I understand, if you just copy-paste, then Google can count plagiarism and lower our site in the rating. And how to do it right? It is clear that you need to indicate a link to the source, but how to specify it so that the search engines understand? Is there some special meta tag, or something else?
