How to properly partition Fedora 23 drives?

I wanted to switch from Ubuntu to Fedora, I have a 120Gb SSD and a 240gb HDD, how to split it correctly? I tried it automatically, it turned out lvm2 pv (I don’t know what it is, I read the wiki, it’s terribly scary) in my soul I’m not calmly used to breaking it manually. In ubuntu sudo apt-get and in fedora which package manager is yum or dnf?
And is it worth switching to Fedora after Ubuntu?

Hmm ...
And what prevents you from breaking it with your hands and in a fedora, if you are already used to it?
Have you tried reading about the package manager in hat-like distributions yourself? yum perhaps? (rhetorical question)!
Worth it or not???? - This is a very tricky question. Why do you need a fedora if you are already on Ubuntu? What drew you there? Answer this question for yourself, and then come here with normal adult questions!
