How to properly install Windows on a new SSD with bootloader transfer?
Good day! I'm going to install Windows 10 on a new SSD, but I have a number of questions.
The PC now has an HDD, divided into two partitions, D, and, accordingly, C. How to properly install Windows on a new SSD, while formatting the disk with the old C drive (without touching the D drive with files), and so that the letter C is on the new SSD, And the bootloader was also moved?
I know that when installing an SSD, you must first detect it and give it a letter. There are several options in my head:
1. On the old Windows, find the disk and set the SSD to a random letter, and then when installing windows on it, simply format the old C drive with the old system.
2. Immediately after installing the SSD, start installing windows, and format the old C there and detect / create a disk with the SSD.
I highly doubt my choices. I think the algorithm of work should look different. In Google and on YouTube I did not find a solution to the problem with all my requirements. Thanks in advance)
