How to properly install the main site on BitrixVM?

Good afternoon.
BitrixVM virtual machine.
There are several sites mysite.ru, dev.mysite.ru, myother.ru Tell me
how to create several sites in BitrixVM.
All sites are a separate installation, on different Bitrix licenses.
The essence of the question in which directory to put the main site mysite.ru
In the main www or like additional sites through the Create a site tool in the VM menu and, accordingly, ext_www?
Sites created via Site Creation (ext_www) create all config/log files with a domain prefix, this way architecturally seems to be more correct.
The question is to install the main site in the www or ext_www directory?
Do not judge strictly, small competencies in BitrixVM administration.

if it's not b24 - it's better in default
