How to properly install gitlab on a configured vps with a Vesta panel?

There is a vps on CentOS 6.5, Vesta panel.
I used to use the SourceTree -> github -> deploy link with an ftp script, but something tells me that such a scheme is slightly crooked. Have your own vps. But I can’t figure out which scheme will be the most correct if I install my git.
Ideally, I would like SourceTree -> my own gitlab -> push to the production folder on the same server, is it possible to do this? All instructions for installing gitlab are written for a freshly created system, at least I did not find anything else.
