The question is.
I decided to buy a computer for work and run a vmware workstation domain controller on it, and it will act as a file dump.

But the question arose of a trace of character, when I set up a domain on the virtual machine and I will need to enter the computer itself on which this virtual machine will be located, what is it Is the sequence correct then?
and then I don’t understand how to do it right.

Yes, in principle, just deploy a domain on a virtual machine, and connect your working PC to it.
If NAT is enabled in the workstation, you will be able to see the domain even with a different subnet. If you need to connect another computer in the local network, then in order not to dance with the network settings, select Bridge in the workstation.
