How to properly extend the electrical wire?

Good evening everyone!
I must say right away that in terms of electrics I am a complete zero .. But the task arose, to make a nichrome foam cutter from a PC power supply.
In general, I collected everything and did it, but a couple of questions remained. It turns out that 2 crocodiles go to the thread, minus and plus 12V. In the power supply, I cut off all the connectors, except for the largest one, where there is a green wire, twisted into one bundle, a pack of black wires and a pack of yellow ones, I actually received 12V. Now I need to extend these 2 wires, the question is how can this be done? Is there any fundamental difference what kind of wires I buy in order to screw them into ready-made ones?

Buy clamps .
They are designed for this.

Any, but in heat-resistant insulation and sufficient section for the current consumed.

The rated current of the terminal block is usually indicated on it. The wire cross section is selected based on the value of 7-10A per 1 sq. mm.

I must say right away that in terms of electricians, I am a complete zero.

Give this task to someone who understands something. Otherwise, it will all end in a fire or something else bad. Since you do not know what current is, and what voltage is, and what is the relationship between them.
PS It just won't work. It is also necessary to turn on this PSU, close a couple of wires ... And with a load skew, not all PSUs work normally. Usually you need to load + 5V and +12 and sometimes + 3.3V too.

Everything was written correctly ...
But if you don’t bother, then 99% that the black wire with which the power supply is connected to the 220 socket is suitable for you, find an unnecessary one and use it. Cut off the plugs and attach to the wires of the power supply.
You can connect with these terminals. 13391514.jpg
It should be understood that the block from the computer is quite powerful, if you did something wrong, the wires can heat up, smoke and catch fire.
